The Counseling Process...
All of us get stuck, find ourselves in situations where we can't seem to make the progress we want. It may relate to events in our past, current relationships, or goals for the future. Counseling provides a push to help us get moving again.
This "push" comes in a safe and caring environment, one in which you can move at the pace that fits where you're at. The process can reveal deep emotions and lead to insights that pave the way for change. If you're wanting to live and experience life in new ways, the process of counseling may be your best next step.
A bit about me...
I've been counseling since 2005 and started Jon Dillow Counseling in 2006. Prior to starting my counseling practice, I worked for 10 years on staff of a campus church at the University of Illinois, Illini Life Christian Fellowship. My faith directs and informs how I approach counseling yet I've worked with people across the spiritual spectrum. If your Christian world view is important to you, we can together seek to understand what the Lord is doing in your life.
Before earning my M.A. in counseling I received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Yes, that was a bit of a switch from Engineering to Counseling :) When not sitting with clients my life is full of chaos, laughter, and messes of one type or another - that's to say, I have a larger family, 4 boys, 1 girl, and often a foster son or daughter as well.
